Who is behind sako medis?

Elias Gosolits

I'm 26 years old and grew up in Bavaria, southern Germany. I studied carpentry at a professional school and worked for a carpentry company, before continuing as a self-employed craftsman.

In 2022, I moved to Lithuania with a friend to restore an abandoned farmstead near Dusetos. What started as a restoration project turned into a lasting connection with the land, its nature, and the people.

Meanwhile, my passion for carpentry kept growing. And ‘sako medis’ was born from the desire to share that craft more widely. It’s my space to create unique, handmade furniture and work together with people to bring their ideas to life.

Today, I live and work near Utena with my dear Paulina. And 'sako medis' is my commitment to go all-in with carpentry – the profession I truly burn for.

What does

Wood as a material is amazing to me. The hidden beauty inside the tree is being reavealed. With annual rings, scars and colorful strains forming unique patterns, every tree tells its story. In Lithuanian, ‘sako medis’ means ‘says the tree’.
